Are You Eligible to File a Claim for Injuries Related to Camp Lejeune?
What steps are the manufacturers and distributors taking in response to the recalls?
It is crucial to stay informed about the actions taken by manufacturers and distributors in response to product recalls. In the case of the recalled eye drops, here are the steps that have been taken:
- EzriCare Recall: Aru Pharma Inc., the company that formulated EzriCare artificial tear drops, and Global Pharma Healthcare PVT LTD, the manufacturer, have withdrawn the affected products from the market. The FDA has placed Global Pharma Healthcare PVT LTD on its “red list” due to non-compliance with manufacturing requirements.
- Purely Soothing Recall: Pharmedica USA LLC, the manufacturer, has recalled two lots of their 15% MSM Drops under the brand name Purely Soothing. They have advised customers to stop using the product and return it to the original place of purchase. Wholesalers and retailers have also been instructed to cease distribution and either return the product or dispose of it properly.
- Artificial Eye Ointment Recall: Global Pharma Healthcare has voluntarily recalled Batch No. H29 of their Artificial Eye Ointment due to possible microbial contamination. The product was distributed by Delsam Pharma, and both companies have taken responsibility for addressing the issue.
We recommend keeping the bottles in case you would like to pursue a personal injury claim. At the very least, take photos of the bottles and maintain receipts as proof of purchase.
In addition to above actions, manufacturers and distributors are typically expected to investigate the cause of the contamination, address any manufacturing or quality control issues, and work with regulatory authorities to ensure that their products are safe for consumers.
