The countdown is on to the 2016 One Step Closer To The Cure made possible by the Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation. The event will be held this Saturday the 17th at Albert Whitted Park in St. Petersburg, FL.
Event Information
We hope you will join us and more than a thousand other participants and sponsors in helping support the fight against ovarian cancer. It isn’t too late; you can sign up here for the one mile, 5k or 10k. Even if you can’t physically be present (or wish to sleep in that day) you can register as a virtual participant. There are several race packet pickup parties being held this week, so be sure to check the Ovarian Cancer Foundation’s website for more information.
The Ruth Law Team’s Fight Against Ovarian Cancer
When we heard about One Step Closer To The Cure, we knew we had to be a part of it. Our firm represents women and their families tragically affected by ovarian cancer. The women we help have at least one thing in common, and that is their long-term use of talcum powder. For many years, the Johnson & Johnson corporation deliberately advertised its baby powder and Shower To Shower products for feminine hygiene use. Sadly, evidence has shown the company was well aware the use of baby powder could increase a woman’s risk for ovarian cancer, yet it continued its marketing efforts and failed to warn women of this risk. You can learn more about the link between talcum powder and ovarian cancer here.
The Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation’s mission is to “Unite family, friends, and community to fight ovarian cancer.” We are honored to support a local organization dedicated to ovarian cancer research, early detection, prevention, and education. Our firm will have a booth set up at the event, and our attorneys will be available to answer your personal injury legal questions. We hope to see you there!
